Retrieve a note

Read one note by its id, live from Google. The note is the same row GET /notes lists, including chat answers saved as notes in the Gemini Notebook web app (type: saved_answer) and mind maps (type: mindmap), whose content is the mind map’s JSON tree.

  • note is required, the note id returned by POST /notes or GET /notes. It contains : and @, so URL-encode it in the path (encodeURIComponent in JavaScript). The id names its account, so no email is needed.

    The path does not hold a valid note id, for example it holds a source id.

    The note id was issued to a different API token.

  • 596 Account Error

    Google reported the account as signed out. While we re-check it, the answer is the first message below. Retry in about a minute. If it stays signed out, the account is paused, you receive an email, and the answer becomes the second message until you re-add it via Setup Gemini Notebook.
